National Garden Scheme Open Day
Join us for a memorable day at Ascott as part of the National Garden Scheme!
Monday 19 May, 11:30 - 17:00
Discover 30 acres of stunning gardens, showcasing Victorian gardening at its finest. Originally designed by Sir Harry Veitch and later enhanced by Arabella Lennox Boyd, the gardens feature rolling lawns, mature specimen trees, and breathtaking views across the Vale of Aylesbury.
Highlights include the evergreen sundial with its inspiring inscription, and the beautifully landscaped Planet Garden with new magnolia plantings. The Dutch Garden’s fountain, designed by Thomas Waldo Story, with its marble tiers and bronze Cupid, is a true centerpiece. The Venus Garden, with its stunning Venus fountain, offers a tranquil escape.
The National Garden Scheme was founded in 1927 to help fund the essential work of district nurses. Today, they continue to raise money for a group of national charirties that include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Hospice UK and The Queen's Nursing Institute.
Come and immerse yourself in nature, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and support a wonderful cause. We look forward to welcoming you!
