Chris Day is a highly respected horticulturist, journalist, broadcaster, podcaster, grower, and retailer. He trained in commercial horticulture at Rochfords Houseplants and in Amenity Horticulture at Myerscough Agricultural College, building a strong foundation for a career that spans every corner of the gardening world.

With decades of experience in the Garden Centre trade, Chris has managed leading centres including All in One Garden Centre in Manchester, Buckingham Garden Centre & Nurseries, and currently serves as Plant Manager at Alban Hill Nurseries near Olney.

As an editor and writer, Chris has shaped the voice of numerous publications. He has edited Amateur Gardening, Gardening365.com, and Water Gardener, and was the creator and founding editor of Garden Ideas magazine, part of The English Garden stable.

Chris is also a familiar voice and face in broadcasting, having co-presented and appeared on BBC gardening programmes such as Radio Solent’s Topsoil, Talk Radio with James Whale, BBC Three Counties Radio’s The Greenhouse, and The Summer Show on Sky.

He is a proud member of the Garden Media Guild and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
