All you need to know before you go

A Gardens ticket includes access to the 30-acres of Gardens, Pavilion Tea Room, plant sales, and retail areas. Parking is free.

A House ticket (which must be purchased in conjunction with a Gardens ticket) includes access to Ascott House and its outstanding collection.

Please note, we are a cashless site.

Advance booking is recommended, especially on weekends and during holidays, as tickets often sell out.

No, we are a cashless site and accept card payments only.

No dogs are permitted on site except for assistance dogs. We welcome accredited assistance dogs and assistance dogs in training, which should wear an ‘in-training’ harness where possible.

Entry to the House is by timed ticket only, to help manage visitor numbers and protect the historic interiors. Everyone needs a ticket, including National Trust members and children under 5. You can pre-book tickets online, or book them at the Welcome Kiosk near the car park. Advance booking is recommended, especially on weekends and during holidays, as tickets often sell out.

We recommend a minimum of 1 hour in order to appreciate the House and the collection to its full. 

It is a 5–10 minute walk to the House and Gardens from thec car park; however, we have a volunteer-run buggy that can transport you.

Yes, power motorised vehicles are allowed in the Gardens. We recommend that you ensure that your battery is fully charged before setting off for the day.
