Summer Florals Illustration Workshop with Jay Nolan-Latchford

I've been an artist all of my life, my first memories are of drawing, making, painting and crafting. 

After leaving school I studied illustration at my local college followed by a Graphic Design and Printmaking degree in Brighton. I worked for several years as a freelance designer in London before relocating to Bucks and establishing my own design company working with Harrods, John Lewis, and Fortnum and Mason to name a few. 

In recent years I've returned to my first love of painting and illustration. My range of watercolour, ink and mixed media pieces with their bright colour palettes have proven very popular and collectible. New lines of prints and greetings cards are now available too.​​

I'm keen to pass on my skills and having undertaken a teaching qualification I began hosting workshops for adults several years ago. I was honoured to be awarded an 'outstanding' assessment from Bucks Adult Learning in my first year. I now teach several sessions a week at ‘pop-up’ venues in Bucks, Beds and Northants. I’ve developed a workshop style that both beginners and more advanced painters can enjoy and learn from. 

My work can be seen at several galleries and I regularly participate in Art shows locally, across the South of England. 

I live and work from my houseboat on the Grand Union. I love outdoor spaces, nature and especially the water. I’m passionate about creativity for well-being and art for all. I sit on the committee for the Visual Images Group. 

Bring a fold-up chair or stool, your phone or tablet for photos, suitable footwear and clothing, and lunch (or enjoy something from the tearoom).
